No. Third Wave Water mineral profiles are just mineral additives. They do not remove anything from the water.
Why Distilled Water?
We recommend using distilled water (or reverse osmosis or deionized water) as an empty base to add Third Wave Water minerals. This helps you to start at 0 (nothing in the water) and add only what you want (Third Wave Water minerals) for brewing your coffee.
